Hello world (Courtesy: Endhiran) I am another jobless blogger. Being a debut writer I will bore you somewhere here and there. Why did I start blogging? To create a revolution?? Athellam illanga pozhuthu pola at the same time naatuku yethavathu pannanumnu nenachen. Being a tamizhan, naama ellam enniku panni irukkom athanala than blog moolama pesalame nu vanthen. Pesurathu thaan namakku kai vantha kalai aache. Mostly you will find topics regarding Indian politics (read: chennai), sports, culture and sometimes movie reviews. Since we are going to have an election in next few months let me start the blog with a political topic.
So the New Year has just started. Is our country looking anything different than what it was 5 or 10 years back? If you belong to a political party, “Definitely Yes. There are lots of companies, industries, numerous buildings, malls, improved transportation, more jobs, almost everyone has a mobile phone, etc.” Something on that line would be the answer no matter which party you belong to. But for an ordinary man it is still the same, most of them still don’t even have the proper basic amenities like water, toilet, shelter, roads, electricity, etc. Forget about 10 years, innum neraiya peru independence kedaikum pothu eppadi irunthangalo appadiye thaan irukkanga. Naan kozhanthaiya irukkum pothum our country was corrupted and lacking basic amenities for people. Ippavum appadiye thaan irukku but in a different magnitude [Level of corruption (in rupees) = time (in yrs)*corruption (constant)] (enakkullaiyum yetho irukkula. Naan kooda periya aal thaan formula ellam ezhutharen!!!).
The reason for it is simple. It is us who made it like this here. It started with few corrupt politicians, but the common man started or forced to start adjusting him, now which has led to many more corrupted people. If there is any issue only few people act to it but the rest just complain about it and wait till it gets fixed automatically. Unfortunately just like the people the government also consists of people who belong to the same breed only. Learning to adjust and live to each and everything had caused all this making the officials to take bribe even to do their duty. We are brought up that way. Ithukune periyavanga ellam oru pazhamozhi vechu irukkanga “dhushtana kanda thoora vilagu” appadi nu. It means don’t be friends with bad people. But we took it just literally without thinking, so yaaru enna pannalum soranaiye illama we learnt to adjust and live. Evanavathu bus la pick pocket adicha chumma iruppom, road la yethavathu sandai, vettu, kuthu nadantha chumma iruppom, namakku yethuku vambu nu chumma irukkurathe habit aagidichu. Korangu pakkathula vaazhapazhathoda poi ninna pudunga thaan seiyum. Enna thaan manishan korangula irunthu vanthalum innum neraiya peru koranga thaan irukkanga. So will find these kind of people everywhere unless the common man does something. Athuku onnume panna mudiyathu we have to blame ourselves. So the answer for the title question is "Moral Responsibility".
